Design is in the details. The truth of this statement can be seen in a cabin I worked on a couple of months ago in Catskills, NY. Most of the major furniture pieces were already there so it was my job to bring in the smaller pieces and home decor items. This task required more than just buying a few pillows, vases and some art. Really, as you can see in the pictures below, when decorating interiors it's important to sweat the small stuff! Those are the items that create the necessary layers and depth a well decorated space requires. They should also reflect the home owner by expressing who they are, where they've been and the things they love. An eclectic mix of both vintage and new with various textures, colors and patterns is how a house turns into a beautifully decorated home.
